Just be patient. Wait as long as you can like Sawn said. From what I hear the new screens seem to be much better than the week 37 models. Now we are seeing 38 and 39 models.

If you have a little time to wait before your 14-day return period is over, wait as long as you can. At least then you will have the best chance of getting a good unit. Other than that, good advice.

I think the most important factor ultimately determing the outcome is the type of person you talk to at the genius bar. You can get lucky and get someone who understands the problem or you can get some major a-hole that doesn't care what you say or show to him.

Same thing happened to me Michael H. I am holding onto my ipod until a new shipment comes in. I am kinda hoping that it takes a bit of time for it to come in. This is one of those few times where I would prefer it to take longer so that everything is working properly with the new ones.

Very good. I followed almost all of these without reading the 4 steps, and after the Genius Bar member viewed several of my album covers.

For my examples, I had several covers to use. I used the cover for Tim Burton's 'Planet of the Apes,' the 2007 Transformers Movie Album, and also 'A Boy Named Goo.' The Goo Goo Dolls album was my 'ace in the hole,' as there were iPhones and other iTouchs in the store that had the same cover art as mine, but you could see the dark colored leaves in the album art clearer on the other ones.

Though luckily, the guy at the counter understood the issue, and my examples proved my screen's problems. However, with none in stock, I'll have to wait for them to get restocked.
