So you want the easiest way possible to add NES ROMs to your Jailbroken iPod Touch? Well you’re in luck, this way is as easy as it gets. There is no SSHing from your computer into the iPod Touch. You don’t even have to download the ROMs from the internet (which is illegal by the way).
This is what you have to do: the whole process takes no more than 5 minutes.
1. Add this source: markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo/repo.plist
You add a source by clicking on installer icon and then clicking on the sources icon located on the bottom right. Make sure that you keep the http:// that is already there.
**TIP** For those who dont know how to add a source, this link will tell you how: http://code.google.com/p/iswitcher/wiki/HowToAddSource
2. Once then source has been successfully added (you must refresh once you have added it), go to the games tab. You will see nes games pack. Install it.
Your iPod will restart and you will have the most popular nes games pack.
That’s it! Simple isn’t it? As simple as it may be if there are any questions or problems post them below in the comments section so others can help out.
**NOTE** As I already mentioned once above, installing NES ROMs that you don’t own is illegal. Once you have installed the nes roms pack please only keep the games that you own (delete the rest).
If the above method does not work for you, please try this other source.

Instead of correcting his grammar, answer the question jackass!
November 15, 2007 at 3:07 pm |
Jaco, open up the roms program and click on settings. You have to then turn on the delete ROMs setting. You should see it closer to the bottom of the list.
Now when you go back to your ROMs list, if there is a roms you don’t want quickly slide your finger from left to right. (You do this to the right of the ROM name, closer to the right side of the Ipod) You should then see a red delete come up, just click it.

November 19, 2007 at 3:41 am |
look for Big Boss NES roms under Games
November 19, 2007 at 12:21 pm |
I had to refresgh the sources 2 times to get it to show up, try that and see what happens.
November 20, 2007 at 7:24 pm |
this didnt work for me at first and i couldnt understand why – then i realized that the source name was spelled incorrectly –
when i re-entered it i noticed that the auto-spell on the ipod touch tried to change “nu” to “by” for some reason.
anyways – i re-entered it and it worked great – AMY – i think that you probably had the same problem as me.
off to play NES now

Mario, go into the settings on the NES ROM application. You need to turn on “delete roms”. Once you do that you can slide your finger from left to right over the title you wish to delete.

January 10, 2008 at 3:12 am |
Hey i have done all the steps but and i have refreshed the source 1000’s times and i still dont see the Big Boss pack of NES games.
January 10, 2008 at 4:28 pm |
someone help us with the timed out problem!!!
January 10, 2008 at 4:59 pm |
Slayer, you installed “bsd” first? I had the same problem, but once I refreshed it was there. You are looking in the “games” tab for it, correct?
January 10, 2008 at 5:05 pm |
For those or who have refreshed and still don’t see the “Big Boss” pack you MUST restart your ipod. Don’t just tap the botton on the top, that only puts it in sleep mode. Hold it down and restart and then you will see the game pack under the games tab.
January 11, 2008 at 3:45 pm |
i still cant see the game pack i installed bsd and nes and have the site on my sources refreshed about 3 times even restarted it (powering it off right?) and it still doesnt work
January 12, 2008 at 12:30 am |

January 12, 2008 at 1:16 am |
Math,
Did you install the NES emulator first?
January 12, 2008 at 10:51 am |
The first thing i did is I add the source and install bsd. After, i download nes but it’S said no roms found and I don’t see big boss under game.
January 12, 2008 at 11:13 am |
Math:
Did you refresh the sources?
Sometimes you have to refresh a few times for it to come up.
January 12, 2008 at 11:33 am |
I have refresh the sources more than 10 times.
January 12, 2008 at 11:47 am |
For those of you who it isn’t working for, I am going to write a very simple guide that will tell you how to manually install NES ROMs. I will have it up by later today.

January 14, 2008 at 7:17 pm |
This is simply not working. I have rechecked the spelling time and time again, deleted the source then reinstalled it, rebooted the touch, still not getting it. Wicked frustrating as I know it is something simple that i am missing. i do have bsd installed, I have nes installed. lets hope that I can connect soon.
January 14, 2008 at 7:17 pm |

January 14, 2008 at 7:24 pm |

January 14, 2008 at 7:26 pm |
Kman,

go to the games tab
you should see nes games pack

January 14, 2008 at 7:26 pm |
^^
Exactly…
January 14, 2008 at 7:28 pm |

January 14, 2008 at 7:32 pm |
Hold down the bottom on the top left and you will see a slider appear on your screen and slide to restart.
January 14, 2008 at 7:33 pm |
Guys i have to tell you, a lot of us simply cannot connect to the source at all. I have added it verbatim like 30 times now according to this site, and have double checked to make sure spelling is right. It is not working, no matter how many times we refresh our sources or restart the touch.
January 14, 2008 at 7:34 pm |
Are you sure you all have bsd and are looking in the games tab of installer?
January 14, 2008 at 7:34 pm |

January 14, 2008 at 7:55 pm |

January 14, 2008 at 10:36 pm |

Just a note – the iPhone/iPod Touch tries to “correct” the URL by making iphone into iPhone – it should be lower case. Make sure your URL is 100% correct when you add the source.
Also, you may have to refresh the sources a couple of times to get them all updated – lots of people hitting the servers seem to make them unresponsive at times.
January 14, 2008 at 11:09 pm |
JIMJIM, the source looks good to me. The writer of the source said it may go down from time to time, but as of right now it is up and running.
January 14, 2008 at 11:11 pm |
mmmk. i will be patient and keep trying..thx again.
January 14, 2008 at 11:59 pm |
Nothing so far for anyone keeping score…
January 15, 2008 at 12:00 am |
I am in the process of writing as new post that will work for all of you guys having problems with a new source. It will be up in about 5-10 min.

The new source is now up:
http://lonman06.com/2008/01/15/ipod-touch-another-source-to-automatically-add-nes-roms/
January 15, 2008 at 6:43 am |
Please, can anybody help me?? It doesn’t work to me.. I do have NES and BSD installed. I also have psx4all, it is necessary? I have added the source many many times but it doesn’t work. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Lonman I tried with the new source too but still dont luck. Help!
January 15, 2008 at 9:41 am |
Definitely, nothing works for me
I can’t make work the Nes, the PSX ones and the GBA ones. I’ve already installed NES, BSD, PSX, GBA emulators, but nothing. The sources links show up under the category “Uncategorized”, and I’m keeping the http://. I hope you can help me guys. Thank you. (Sorry for my english, it’s not perfect)

January 16, 2008 at 1:30 pm |
i have just tried this as a source and it has bigboss’ NES roms pack on it: http://123locker.com

January 16, 2008 at 1:45 pm |
Can only one else confirm this?
January 16, 2008 at 3:38 pm |
Yes it finally worked, thanks to all.
January 16, 2008 at 5:03 pm |
Got the NES Roms but not that impressed with them TBH – bit laggy – might not have been worth all the effort.
January 16, 2008 at 10:18 pm |
The source Rez has listed does work as well.
Your games shouldn’t be laggy, none of mine seem to lag at all.
January 22, 2008 at 11:38 am |
so can i do this on 1.1.3? or do i have to wait for a downgrader
January 22, 2008 at 11:40 am |
You can’t to this on 1.1.3 yet Adam, since a Jailbreak for that firmware hasn’t been released. Once it is released this method will work.
January 22, 2008 at 12:35 pm |
January 26, 2008 at 12:57 pm |
Adam, there are ways to downgrade from 1.1.3 or you can give the new Jailbreak method on 1.1.3 a try.

March 18, 2008 at 1:57 am |
Is 123locker.com a source or a website that you download from? BTW can you do all this on a jailbroken 1.1.3 ipod touch 8gb
March 19, 2008 at 6:55 pm |
Mdogg: the 123locker.com is a source. It’s the only one of the 3 that has worked for me so far. My touch is downloading the ROM package right now, so I haven’t verified in NES.app yet.

does this work on 1.1.4?
May 15, 2008 at 8:43 am |
This fucked my ipod touch. It is now stuck on the installer page, and will not let me get off the page. I am left with this:
Notice
Confrimed to workd with 1.1.3, Iphone 1.1.4 and ipod touch1.1.3
Maybe you should put at the top of your page that it doesn’t work for 1.1.4 ipod touch.
I am stuck on an installer page that will not let me click out of it, and your piece of shit recommendation did it.
This is fucked.
May 15, 2008 at 8:47 am |
Okay. I turned off the wireless so that it wouldn’t keep trying to connect.
Put some information about the fact that it doesn’t work with ipod touch 1.1.4 in this space.

u won’t be able to add any roms or the emulator without installer which you need a jailbroken ipod touch or iphone for. Come on, do your homework. you should know that.

I tried to add a new source, but my phone keeps telling me “there were errors while trying to refresh this source, please double-check the url and try refreshing again.” I’ve hit the refresh button many times but it still says: “invalid source”
the url is still markmon.mine.nu:90/iphone/repo/repo.plist, right?
who knows what to do?

I used a dif. method(on cydia) that gave me a crap load of NES games but when i try to install them, it says: “The requested modifications cannot be applied due to required dependencies or conflicts that canot be automatically found or fixed”….what does that mean lol??
i got so excited but then let down lol:]
WHAT DO I DO??!!
May 9, 2009 at 2:53 pm |
can someone tell me the games you get before i go and do it becuse it is hard for me to get wifi
May 16, 2009 at 3:57 pm |
There are no NES rom packs anymore, seems they deleted it for legal purposes. Now they threaten people who ask for ROM links that if you ask for links they’ll permanently delete your email. now what?
May 18, 2009 at 10:32 am |
everytime i try it says the indicated repository could not be found, this could be because you are trying to add a legacy installer repository ( these are not supported). Also this interface is only capable of working with exact repository URL’s. If you host a repository URL’s. If you host a repository and are having issues please contact the author of Cydia with any questions you have
WHAT IS THIS???
