iPod Touch: New Way of Getting GBA ROMs onto iPod Touch With No Computer
Since it seems the GBA and PSX sources/repos are on and off for the time being, this is a great alternative to adding ROMs that doesn’t require SSHing from your computer to the iPod Touch.

**UPDATE** As many of you have noticed, the password above is no longer working for that account (someone had to go and change the password). This is a real shame since it had so many GBA ROMs. The above account is trying to be restored, but for now you can use the one below.
There are less ROMs on this account, so if you have any feel free to upload them. I will keep everyone updated on the status of the first, much larger account.

How to install this great app on your touch
1. Download gpSPhone from the installer
2. Download iShare from the installer
(optional) ( for people who haven’t created a rom folder, otherwise proceed to step 10
3. Download Mobile finder
4. Press the ~ icon at the far right corner
5. Click Media, then click create at the bottom of the screen.
6. Click Folder, you should see a folder name ‘untitled folder’
7. Rename it to ‘ROMs’ remember, the R,O and M is capital while the s isn’t
8. Inside the ROMs folder, create another folder call ‘GBA’
9. Exit mobilefinder
10. Log in to the account as mentioned above
11. Download the game you want into the Folder you created,’GBA’
(optional) (for those who don’t have the gba_bios.bin file)
12. You are ready to go. If you need the gba_bios file feel free to go to another great unloader account to get it. His account is User:dreww Pass: is drew12345
13. If you can’t log out of his account to get to mine, uninstall the app and redownload it and install again.
14. Remember to upload some games to this account too.Request games you want here.
Games with a star beside it means it is in the process of being uploaded, just that I don’t have the time too, so it will take a day or two. Pleas be patient.

What do you do when you get into the site
Go to the site from your ipod after you have installed the two apps stated above and then donwload the games you want.

when i went to open the game in the GBA app it said Sorry this ipSP requires a Gameboy Advance something or other (The message got cut off) Im using it on 1.1.2 is that the problem?
@ Reid, you need the GBA BIOS. DO a quick google search, they are everywhere. it should be a 16kb file. TINY.

Sorry to comment agian but when I tried to download the gba_bios file instead it said that Safari cannot download that type of file.

Where does the GBA bios file go? I have it with my ROMs and I’m getting the same message as Reid.
I downloaded a few games from the sendspace account. I downloaded one of the “gba_bios.bin” file from the sendspace account into my “~/Media/ROMs/GBA” folder, and renamed it “gba.rom”. Now, when I enter the Game Boy Advance emulator application and click on the game I want to play, it says “Sorry, but ipSP requiras a Gameboa Adva i a P W”

As it turns out, I need to change the permissions on my bios file to 755. I don’t have WinSCP or other SSHing programs, so can someone tell me if this is possible with only an iPod?

You can’t put the gba_bios.bin file directly in ROMs/GBA, you have to go:

-Library
-Mobile Finder
-Applications
-gpSPhone.app
-Press select at the upper right hand part of the screen to download that file into the application. This should work, atleast it has for me.
Add psmxy.org/iphone-apps and make sure the p in iphone doesnt capitalize because auto-correct.

well you have to make a ROMs folder then inside of it, make the specific folder for the emulator, NES, GBA, or PSX. Then go onto ishare and log in and click download then click “download from my account” and once there, click “media”, then “ROMa” and click the specific emulators file that the game needs to be in. Thats about it.

Well ok i did that, then instead used the link Ben S provided, and used that method. When i go into mobile finder and into the GBa folder, its not in the /var/root/Media/ROMs/GBA file, its something like “~/GBA.” is that right? if not, how do i change the file so the roms go into the gpsphone, because i STILL get the

i tried to move the ‘GBA’ folder in it and to just delete the whole map but none of those seem to

What the heck this doesn’t work at all. i’ve tried it three times under like 4 names and none of them have worked!!!!!!
Can’t get it working, I got iPod Touch 1G, with fw 1.1.4
I do everything excactly like u said, but when I try to download a game from my own account @ sendspace the map ROMs or GBA isnt there : S
Anyone has any idea? Or do I havo to downgrade my iPod to 1.1.3, because I already tried that (if I remember right, I tried it yesterday) and the maps ROMs or GBA just aren’t listed when I download a game…
