iPod Touch: iJailBreak 6.0 – Full Compatibilty with the iPod Touch (for mac)

Well we got ZiPhone 2.6 which added iPod Touch support and now we also have iJailbreak 6.0 which does the same.  To avoid any confusion, iJailbreak is made for mac users.  Since I use a mac, I just restored by 16gb iPod Touch and ran iJailbreak 6.0.  I am happy to report that it worked great, I experienced no problems whatsoever.

Another great thing about iJailbreak is that it allows you to add the iPhone Apps as well.  It also adds com.apple.afc2 support, allowing for easy manipulation of the file system.

There really isn’t too much that needs to be said about iJailbreak, the program pretty much does everything for you.  Just remember to be sure that you are running 1.1.4 before you try this.

You can download iJailbreak 6.0 by clicking here.

If you are having “Spamming AT” errors on your iPod touch, download the NVRAM Fixer from here.

    Downloaded ijailbreak 0.6.
Restored a previously jailbreaked ipod touch 8GB,
run the ijail 0.6, as claimed, completed the hack in less than a minute!
The longest wait was to download the 1.1.4 and restore it on ipod.

    Great work.

    Thank you :)

    No the question is :

do i still need to install BSD file system?

  18. newcomer Says:

should be “now the question” in my previous post . sorry for the typo

  19. newcomer Says:

figured it out. Yes, i still need to install BSD file system.

    again. thanks.

  20. newcomer Says:

Just in case anyone need this.
If you change the root password on BSD file system through OpenSSH. The iPod will repeated reboot itself and make it un-useable.

The included passwd command for BSD is not working for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4. You need download a older version to get around of it.

This caused my three restore and jailbreak, until i found this web page:
