For the time being it seems that Franks SNES ROMs repo/source is down. Hopefully it will come back up, but this seems to be the story with repos. They never last forever. Thanks to user “Jesse” from this site, who found this new source, you can still get SNES ROMs.
I am always on the lookout for new sources, so if any of you find one, I will be glad to check it out. If it works I will likely make a new post about it.
The source you need to add is : S.apfelphone.net
Be sure to keep the http:// as well.
Once you refresh the source in your list go back to the packages list and you will see “apfelphone.net”. Open that folder and install the SNES ROMs.
After you do install the ROMs, you will see a pop up in another language. Just hit “ok” twice. If anyone has any idea what the other language is saying please let us all know!

Dude the language is definitly german. The messages it says aren’t important that you have to do anything extra. It just says stuff like success! And thanks for using apfelphone

And no i don’t speak german but it isnt that hard to figure out what the language sounds like. Then I just did google translator to find out what it means by typing in the exact message while I was downloading it

oh and by the way. 1.1.4 works and everything but the game choice isnt great in the packet. Best game is Mega Man X (1,2,3) in my opinion. Its too bad that Frank’s source doesn’t work anymore.

I did download that before it was posted here though. I did that like three or four days ago and it worked fine. Can’t remember if there’s anything else you need to do before.

and meco, sometimes itt does that to me too. either holding the home button until it goes to the homescreen, restarting the device or refreshing sources sometimes works. especially in combination. If those methods don’t work than that sucks. I know there is other stuff you can do 2 fix that

I’m getting the same problem, can play the roms fine but can’t save them. Also, the delete feature isn’t actually deleting them and there’s no sound which is disappointing : /

I really suggest getting the NES emulator and then getting the NES roms from this repo though, haven’t found a problem with it yet and theres more than enough games

Just so everyone knows, the SNES emulator currently doesn’t support sound. Hopefully when the next update comes around this will be fixed.

Hey guys here how to get games to save…Go to mobile finder “~”/media/ROMs now highlight SNES folder press “modify” and turn “read”,”write”,and “exec” on…So every thing should be on(Blue)…Also do this on GENESIS folder, NES folder and GENESIS folder…that’s it pretty simple…

I’m not sure guys if the repo is down or not…its still in my installer…all I can suggest is make sure you typed the write repo source. Danneh when you type S.apfelphone make sure your iPod/iPhone doesn’t auto change the “S” to “A” in the beginning .try adding the source again

hey I got mario kart to work! Its a little choppy but oh well… My real question is: I got pokemon fire red with the bios and everything. But when I click it, it just shows a white screen with the gba buttons! Should i just get leaf green or something?

Thank you soo much!! I tried it today and i’m with 1.1.4.
After adding the source I tried to download the SNES ROMs package. It twice said: Error, downloading failed. Bute my installer was still working… and after a few minutes it suddenly showed the german box and after tapping “yes” it was fine.
I started the SNES emu and everything works (except the sound…still waiting

i dunno if this is helpfull to anyone but for those who cant find many roms especialy for the sega genesis emulator try isohunt.com save them to your computer then use winscp or another program like that to transfer the rom to the ipod

i found an easy way to save the games:
Go to WinSCP and select the folder where you got the games. -> properties and set it to 0755
then se the folder SNES to 0777

Ive seen these comments before for saving, and also as a solution to the Tap Tap Revolution problems.
My Problem is I dont know how to do that! Is it an installer app you download that allows you access into your iphones sub folders? Or a pc program?
Please let me know as this will help me save and can also help with my TTR problems haha

Hey, I tried the same thing when I downloaded the NES ones. I added to Queue the NES emulator and then Installed the NES Roms Package. It downloaded the Emulator and then the roms and It worked.
I did that with this one and it worked.
