iPod Touch: Genesis Emulator (genesis4iphone) Released – Add Genesis ROMs to iPod Touch

The Genesis emulator for the iPod Touch/iPhone has been released. You can now play Genesis ROMs on your iPod Touch! To get this emulator you can add one of the two sources below.

This emulator is amazing with an FPS rate of 60 and barely ever lags!
I am working on finding an working Genesis ROMs repo. I will also try to get an iShare together for this. If anyone has an iShare account for Genesis ROMs, please let me know.
I wouldn’t mind the links for ishare those accounts people make never work out when they give the password to eeryone. Also, you need a bios for this, so where can I (we) get one?

Thanks though, I downloaded it like 15 minutes before you posted this thing. I checked to see if you had any repos or links on here when i downloaded it and nothing was here. Now only a few minutes later i return and there’s something up, you sure are quick with your posting lonman!

In sendspace nothing will show up in my media folder after I created the ROMs/GENESIS file. Please help guys I’ve been trying to figure this out all morning….

When I install from both sources it just goes back to the Springboard and doesn’t stay in Installer like the other emulators do. Also there is no Icon even after resetting manually.

iShare never works on my iphone so is there some kind of installer.app source I could use to get the bios file and ROMs for the sega genesis emulator?(or tell me how too fix iShare from saying “pakage download failed” everytime I try to install it?)

Here’s the deal. I am working on an iShare/SendSpace account with a boatload of ROMs currently on it. I actually have 4 accounts currently:
Genesis: >150 ROMs
SNES: >100 ROMs
NES: >225 ROMs
PSX: About 36 ROMs (due to the size)
I am rapidly adding ROMs to each of these accounts. I have made multiple iShare ROM accounts before, but all of those passwords have been changed. I would really like to give you all these usernames and passwords, but I cannot trust you, so feel free for other ideas…
could you perhaps post the ishare links for some good genesis roms?
carter, here’s what you do. In finder, just tap the ~ in the upper right. This is VAR/mobile. Then go to media, then either create a ROMs folder, or if you already have on open it, then make a GBA folder. Then in ishare, go to the rom you want, and just to be safe, after hitting next, hit the … at the top for around 3 times, then go near the bottom, hit VAR, hit mobile, hit media, hit ROMs, hit GBA, then hit select (upper right), then let your download finish. If you are running lower the 1.1.3, then the steps are the same, just instead of VAR/mobile/media/ROMs/GBA, you’ll want to put it in VAR/root/media/ROMs/GBA.
Hope I helped, oh and dont talk to me about the ishare accounts I was talking about earlier. I posted them on ipodtouchfans.com, and someone already changed all of the passwords.
chris, there are no bios for sega, but I used to have that problem, and when I accidentally upgraded to 1.1.4, and all my jailbreak apps deleted I re-jailbroke it, and then it worked. The bigboss NES ROMs back from the 123locker.com source corrupted the ROMs folder so that nothing could be deleted and/or added.
From what I have heard is that genesis4iphone can also play sega cd games. To play the sega cd games, you need some type of bios. Not sure exatly what one though.
Well El Pelo Negro, i did JUST what you said My GBA is int he EXACT place it should be. If i go to finder, i even see all the ROMS IN there! I cant figure out what I’m doing wrong. My GENESIS is in the same place as the GBA folder, and it works, but thanks for our help anyways, i don’t know what else to do

You dont need bios for GENESIS.
go to settings and enable rom deletion, and slide your finger from the left to the right. A red delete button will appear. Press it
by the way, slide from left to right at the roms screen, and make sure you slide across the rom you want to delete, jstin. Otherwise you could use mobile finder.

Hi guys, here is a sendspace/ishare link for NES ROMs (857 in a rar file), I’ll upload 930 MB (4 parts probably) of genesis ROMs soon, and put the links here. To use the NES ROMs you have to uncompress the file before transfering them to your iPhone/iTouch.

Well here is one of the Genesis ROMs file. It´s a rar file containig the roms as zip files. Genesis4iphone is able to read zip files so just uncompress the rar and use them. There will be 4 files, but they are independent, you don’t need the 4 to unrar.

Go to All Packages and it is called” GENESIS-Sonic”. It has about 15 ROMs I think and it is installed directly to the emulator for 1.1.4 iPhone and iPod Touch’s.
It also has all of the emulators and ishare,mobile finder,SMB themes and much more! And I am constantly adding things to it so check everyday.

whenever i download roms they dont go into genesis, snes, or gba help
that 123locker thing is what i think is messing up the ability for me to create or change folders in finder
dude, the emulator takes a long time to load some games, but it’s worth the wait. sonic is sweet! =]
