ZiPhone 3.0 was released today. It is compatible with both the iPod Touch and the iPhone and has several bug fixes that will make jailbreaking your iPod Touch easier than ever before.

Couldn’t get ziphone 2.6b to work for me, but ziphone 3.0 worked perfect. So for anyone who couldn’t get there ipod to jailbreak I would give this a try.

I had a friend who really wanted to jaibreak his iPod, but he has a sixteen gig and at the time ziphone 2.5 was the latest version. Of course, he badly screwed up his iPod and it took me 30 min to fix it for him. Now he is paranoid about jailbreaking because he lost all his music last time he did it. I can’t even convince him the new stuff works.

if you have half a brain you could of figured out how do the 2.5 jb. Now that the 3.0 is out, this should pretty much make jailbreaking an easy neccesity for all iPhone and itouch owners.

yea Joel I’m not the one who tried to jailbreak it for him, I just fixed it for him after he screwed up. If you had half a brain, you wouldnt be so picky about my story. I know how to do everything its just that he doesn’t, and now he won’t try to jailbreak it again because he doesnt know it would work now.

I love it when people make comments about other’s stories without really knowing the whole story and make complete asses of themselves. It makes me laugh how people always gotta leave comments trying to make themselves look smarter or better than the other. Way to go Joel, you got a laugh out of me. I have a iPod Touch jailborken with the ZiPhone 2.5c version. Do I have to RESTORE my iPod again and Jailbreake it AGAIN with the new version or do I just plug it in and Jailbreak it?

I got it working by using ziphone 3 on my PC rather than my mac…dunno why this works unless zibri messed up the mac version.

this version is really an improvement, so I don’t think you need to be worried about using if. The grey wifi problem has been fixed.

i tried Jailbreaking once with ZiPhone 2.5(16GB Touch) and it got stuck on the apple loading screen, I restored and jailbroke again, I don’t get a /var folder when looking at it thru iPhonebrowser, so i am gonna try ver 3.0, seriously hope the thing works… Last time i used iPhone browser to copy my music and artwork to pc, definitely not looking forward to doing it again…

Anonymous, yeah u’d probably lose u r GBA save games etc, if i were u i’d use iPhonebrowser(Mentioned by damien in above post) to copy the var/root/…. where ever the Games are stored.

ziphone 3.0 is finally out BUT it works fine with a minor exception after installing some may expierience “keyboard stick” or freezing i have a simple remedy for this directly after jailbreaking go to contacts hit add and type in anything for ten to 12 seconds save and this should fix the keyboard stick hope this helps any1 bagelman over and out Namste

wow I find a super soloution for my problem it will help everyone who have the same problem; you have to hold down home bouton & connect to your pc & let things do & after 3 minute your ipodtouch start & you have ziphone on your ipod touch & also installer

ok so i jail broke my ipod touch with ziphone (for the 1.1.4 version) and it worked fine. i had the installer. app and the zibri icon but now when i use the keyboard it freezes and when i downloaded the new upgrades (1.1.4 upgrades) it would freeze like after i touched it a couple of times can sum1 help me cuz i really wanna start using the upgrades

HELP! I heard this was good so i tried it. i’ve had my ipod touch just over 1 month and told i should Jailbreak it … i tried Jailbreakme.com but it didn’t work, and i noticed that Ziphone was popular, so i downloaded it, unzipped the folder and clicked on the Jailbreak Iphone Ipod button… it did all it’s matrixy text stuff and the giant Z came up then it stopped…

SCHWOO!! Just found a way of reconnecting it to iTunes, and I’m restoring it as I type.
Turn it off by holding the home and power button. Disconnect from the dock.
Then, hold the home button and connect it to the dock. Continue holding the home button.
It’ll pop up asking if you want to restore.

To all of u guys who’s ipod is stuck on bsd root or white text or i tunes can’t recognize your ipod n would like to restore back to normal..this is wat u need to do to force restore your ipod so itunes can recognize it back..
Step 1: Hold down the “Home” button
Step 2: Hold down the “Standby” button
Step 3: When it says “slide to turn off”, ignore it.
Step 4: It should restart with a blank screen. DO NOT LIFT THOSE BUTTONS YET.
Step 5: An “Apple” icon appears. You can lift the “Standby” button, but keep pressing the “Home” button
Step 6: Once you see a “connector” and an “iTunes” image (looks like when you just bought it), that’s when it’s in Recovery mode. You can lift all the buttons.

1.disconnect device
2. Turn it Off by pressing power and home button simultaneously
3. Once it completely turns off. Hold the Home Button while plugging the USB connector to your PC
4. You can see a different screen now which means it works.
5. ITunes will automatically detect your device and will ask you to restore.

houston we have a problem. i read many topics but could not find any usefull information regarding my problemm. so, i restore fresh ipod touch 16GB software, which is 1.1.4, so i go to recovery mode and run ziphone jailbreak. it looks like everything runs fine, but after sucessfull jailbreaking i see only zibri blog icon in ipod but could not find installer. but in ziphone running screen says that everything including installer installs sucessfull
could somebody help. give some advise what i do wrong.

this is my brothers school autobody technician project that i changed around…..read it if your bored, youll laugh garunteed!!!
For my project I am going to make a car fender look like a Penis. I chose this project because at the other tech school I went to before I went to North Montco it was a requirement of the senior project and I watched all the other seniors blow eachother so i decided i’d started to practice for my senior project. I was ready to practice my senior project at home on my dog and my gay friend, Andrew Pulver A.K.A Pulverizer (they call him that because he pulverizes dudes assholes with his giant weiner. I hope when I am done the project the fender will be look like a Penis so that people could not tell that the fender was ever from a normal car. when I do my presentation people will not be aroused by my project. I will do the project by first getting a fender with no damage and cut the fender in half using a chain saw and then I will begin the skeeting process on the metal. Then i will begin the process of bending them so they form the shape of the inside of the fender then I will punch 5 inch holes on the end of the sheet metal then I will use a spot welder to put spot welds on the fender to keep the fender together then I will use a grinder to grind the metal down sort of thin so I could work on the back easier then I will use angel hair (angel hair is like pubic hair, same material) to fill in the back and front of the fender after that I will let it dry for probably a month then I will use 3 billion grit sand paper to sand the angel hair down until it forms the shape of a penis and inside of the fender and sand it down a little bit more so it looks like a scrotum sack. Then I will mix my skeet and put it on top of the angel hair and sand that down with 2 million grit sand paper until it matches the fender then I will make sure that there is no dry skeet marks on the automobile fender and do a little bit of touch up and use 3 million grit sand paper to make the spot smooth and ready to paint then I will paint the fender using my skeet. i will proceed the skeeting process, then i will sand down whole fender using 10 billion grit sand paper then I will paint the fender by first by putting on the base coat then the clear coat and spray the fender right so there is no runs and hopefully there will be no problems then the fender will be done. I will need a sanding block to sand down the angel hair and the original car paint. I will also need to make sure the skeet dries good to make the welds on the fender. I will need to use my weiner to apply the skeet and pubic hair to the fender smoothly. I will need a hot girl like julie to make me skeet on the fender, obviously that will be the clear coat for the fender. I think that’s every thing I need to do the project. My goals for my project are to get the project done without getting blueballs.Ok, listen up motherfuckers, i demand people to be impressed with my project and i better get at least an d+ grade on the project. I successfully did the restore. But when it says wait 10 seconds for Iphone to show up, an error occurs which says something to the affect of it recognizing the phone but there is an error? Can someone please help me….please?

and my itunes recognizes the ipod touch but after i hit restore the white text keeps running again and then the restore ends and it says:
The ipod could not be restored. an unknown error occurred (2001)
PLEASE some help! i just go this yesterday and haven’t even had it for a full 24 hours.

Hi dani, I just got a 8GB iTouch with version 1.1.4 (with software upgrade) so tt means I have the 5 added apps i.e. Mail, Map, Stocks etc. I’m contemplating if I shld jailbreak it using ZiPhone 3.0 but I’m hesitating cos those who’re jailbreaking it seems to be using 1.1.4 (without software upgrade) and below.. so I’m unsure if ZiPhone 3.0 will work on my iTouch version. Kindly advise. Thks.

I’m having the same problem with my Touch.
I installed the FW Changer and made my firmware 1.1.3
When I restarted my iPod it went straight to a black screen with white characters saying the following:
