iPod Touch: New Update for Installer.app

May 6, 2008 · 16 Comments

A new update for installer.app has been released and it has a few new goodies that will make a lot of people very happy. The next time you go to start up installer you will be prompted with an update message and once you update you will see the new features I have listed below.

The most important feature of the new update (and a long requested one) is the addition of a search bar on the top. Now you don’t have to scroll through the hundreds of packages listed.

Other new features include:
1. Faster refresh times!
2. Dynamic package descriptions.
3. Listing in alphabetical order for all packages.

I want to personally thank the guys over at Nullriver Software for this new update!

Now if you haven’t already done so, go and update your installer.app!

Thanks to Steven over at the forums for being the first to point this out.

this Is much better. Kind of like cydia and the refreshes last mere minutes. LOL one of the few updates that doesn’t mess up your installer. Best update yet I would have to say

ya, it is good, but after i installed it, my music and videos app wouldnt open. also, my mail app was lost along with my stocks. then my maps kept crashing back to the main screen when ever i opened it. i ended up restoring it and trying again-it is being updated to 1.1.3 as i speak.
