Since a lot of you are still waiting for the release of the 2.0 firmware for the iPod Touch, I am going to give you a preview of a collection of screenshots from my iPod Touch which is running 2.0 and some of the new apps from the App Store. I think this will give a good explanation for what you all will be in store for soon when 2.0 is released. Click on the photos below to see the full size versions.
**UPDATE** 2.0 has been released on iTunes.

now I fell like I’ve wasted my money. It would be nice if apple gave us a refund, but of course they won’t

is it worth it to switch up to 2.0 from my jailbroken 1.1.4?
Aug 18, 2008 @ 21:16:56
most definitely!
firmware 2.0(.1) currently has been jailbroken
google winpwn (if using windows)

Yeah, i had an ipod touch 1.1.4 which was jailbroken, then my dad insisted that i upgrade it. Now that it got updated to 2.0.2, it deleted all the jailbroken stuff and pretty much just reset the ipod. I was wondering if i could jailbreak it again without wasting the $10 and keeeping everything…
The new software is not all that amazing, and even to get a free app you have to have an itunes account, and only my dad has one sooo….?
thanks, amanda

plaza, it’s not that hard. restore your ipod in itunes. then go to quickpwn.com and look under the section for jailbreak 2.0 ipod touch gui version. download the program and it will walk you through it. when i first started jailbreaking, it took me a couple of times to get it right with other programs. but once you get used to it, it’ll take under 15 min to restore and jailbreak.
