iPod Touch: Winpwn 2.0 Released
As expected, following the release of pwnage 2.0, winpwn has now been released. There are a few things you need to know before using it however. First off, below is the release information from their site.

- Support for both 1.1.4 and 2.0
- Custom Image Support
- Custom Payload Support
- 3g iPhone supportHow to:
- 1) First create a custom IPSW using the IPSW Builder.
- 2) Click “Ipwner” and browse for the custom IPSW that you just created. This will pwn itunes and allow you to flash
Custom IPSW files via DFU mode
- 3) Once you have pwned Itunes, put your phone into DFU mode. If you don’t know how to do this click
Here.
- 4) Once you are in DFU mode Itunes will pop up and then you can hold shift and click restore and browse to your custom IPSW file.Done!

Important Notes:
Remove Winpwn 1.0 completely if you have it installed. Installing over the top of WinPwn 1.0 will cause problems.
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes ( Currently 7.7).

I have an ipod touch that was passed on to me. I just finished installing a hacked copy of the new itunes 2.0 firmware. Where do you think I should go from there to get the most of my ipod touch?

when i try to use winpwn it says unknown file when i select my 2.0 firmware from browse .ipsw whats wrong
I also get the error about unknown file when I select the ‘iPod1,1_2.0_5A345_Restore.ipsw’

I have tried this soooo many times but every time i try to build ispw it says Failed to create custom ispw!
That used to happen to me too. I had to uninstall everything that has to do with winpwn and then I tried it and it worked
My WinSCP won ‘t recognize my iPod now

i have the same problem as someone else, whenever i try to browse ipsw and click on the 2.0 firmware, it is unknown and not registering as a recognized file, it is pissing me off. i hate computers with a passion
