With the summer quickly approaching us everyone is wondering if we will see the iPhone 5 and if we will see iOS 5 any time soon. Unfortunately what I am hearing from a very reliable source, which will remain nameless is that we will not be seeing anything new until September.

Well this is great news for all you Verizon iPhone holders who want to jailbreak your phone on the newest OS, 4.2.8. Before today 4.2.8 was only jailbreakable in the unteathered form for windows users using sn0wbreeze 2.7.1. PwnageTool can now be used to jailbreak 4.2.8 using a mac.

OpenNotifier from cydia is a must have app if you want to know exactly what is going on at all times on your iPhone. I had a Blackberry before I came to iPhone and I missed 2 things: an LED light and status bar icons. Well as of right now there isn’t much that I can do about the LED light, but there is something I can do about the status bar.
